In this article, you will learn how to make Ninja Foodi Rice in a few short steps!
I've always been one to grab a box of quick-cooking rice, but lately, I'm finding that I actually prefer Jasmine Rice. I love the taste and texture, plus it's SO EASY to make in the Ninja Foodi Multi-Cooker.
For this recipe, I am going to be focusing on Jasmine Rice; however, you can find the cooking time for almost every variety of rice in this Ninja Foodi Pressure Cooking Guide.
What is Jasmine Rice?
Jasmine Rice is white rice and it's perfect for stir fry recipes and a variety of others. We use it regularly now in our Honey Garlic Chicken and Sesame Chicken.
If you prefer whole-grain brown rice, according to the Ninja Foodi Pressure Cooking chart, that would need to be cooked for 15 minutes on high pressure then naturally released for 10 minutes.
Jasmine Rice is only going to take 3 minutes of cooking time, which makes it very quick rice to whip up.
Tips for Making Ninja Foodi Rice:
When making rice in the Ninja Foodi it's a 1:1 ratio. In this recipe, I use 2 cups of Jasmine Rice and 2 cups of water. If you want to add more flavor to your rice, you can replace the water with broth instead.
It's absolutely imperative to let it naturally release for 10 minutes. Why?
Well, you will end up with a mess on your hands if you do not because once you release the valve on top of the pressure cooker lid, it will spew liquid EVERYWHERE if you do not let it go back down first by naturally releasing it.
It's also delicious with some butter adding in or a little olive oil spray, whichever you prefer. We like to add some additional flavor to the rice.
Now it's time to try this Ninja Foodi Rice!
